Charity Mingle

We kick started 2020 with our first networking event at New Road Hotel in Whitechapel.

The aim is to bring people together and strengthen the small charity sector.

Various grassroots not-for-profit orgs working across the charity sector learnt more about each other's work and created contacts to further their work.

A webinar session lead by Fundraiser, Julie Eason. She highlighted the sectors dos and donts when it comes to writing a bid. How a case study can help your application.

Meet The Funders 2018

After our first successful Meet the Funders event in 2017, we held another one at The Clothworkers' Hall in London. Both Muslim and non-Muslim led charities working for the Muslim community met with mainstream Funders.

Meet The Funders 2019

For the third year running, grassroots charities met mainstream funders at the Osmani Centre in Whitechapel, London.

Funding opportunities were discussed & connections were made.

AWN is now looking to host another Meet the Funders event in North of England.

In November 2017, small Muslim-led charities met mainstream UK Funders to discuss ways to finance their projects, core and overheads, and to connect with each other to learn and possibly collaborate.

AWN Launch Event 2018

In November 2018 we had our Launch event at the East London Mosque, where we welcomed Charity Commission, along with small charities and organisations doing amazing work with Muslim beneficiaries across the UK.
