The Buckinghamshire Wellbeing Capacity Fund has been set up collaboratively by Heart of Bucks, the Rothschild Foundation and the Clare Foundation in response to the challenges created by the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. The Fund will be administered by Heart of Bucks.
The funding is for local charities, voluntary and community groups to deliver projects which create new capacity to support wellbeing across Buckinghamshire, and make Buckinghamshire’s recovery from the pandemic sustainable, with reach into all communities.
The scheme is looking to support partnership, collaboration and innovation, to help the voluntary and community sector develop new ways of working, that will have both immediate and longer term impact.
In addition to demonstrating an holistic approach to wellbeing, projects should incorporate active engagement with at least one of the following priority groups or issues in their proposal:
– BAME groups – ‘Green’ recovery and environmental sustainability – Digital inclusion & accessibility – The LGBTQ+ community – Young people aged under 25 – Physical activity & health
£68,000 plus possible additional £5,000 for partnership working costs.
The closing date for applications is 30th September 2020. Decisions are expected in mid to late October.
