EECF Emergency Fund

East End Community Foundation Emergency Fund are assisting charities covering communities in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, or Newham.

Not for profit organisation can apply for Phase 1: Immediate Relief. They will be distributing funding to help orgs to the immediate and emergency needs of the most vulnerable local residents.

They are experiencing very high volumes of applications as anticipated. Therefore they have prioritised it to the following activities:

  • Emergency support for vulnerable older people in their homes, providing food, medicine and tele-befriending

  • Emergency support for residents particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus e.g. those with pre-existing medical conditions, homeless residents, refugees and asylum seekers, vulnerable children and young people

  • Collaborative and coordinated community responses to meeting immediate needs e.g. food, shelter, washing, clothing etc.

Phase 2: Recovery and Resilience fund will be open at a later stage.
