In response to the coronavirus, Salford CVS will be awarding grants of up to £10,000 for Salford-based Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) -led VCSE organisations which are supporting BAME communities disproportionately affected by the Covid19 pandemic.
Through the Covid-19 BAME Response Fund, grants will be available for projects which tackle longstanding inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic which affect BAME groups in areas such as health, housing and employment.
The Fund is prioritising projects which will reduce exposure to Covid-19 through culturally appropriate health and wellbeing messages and education campaigns, provide services and practical support that meet the cultural and linguistic needs of BAME communities, provide bereavement support, and physical and mental health and wellbeing support, and which tackles obesity and diabetes.
The application deadline is 12pm on the 19th October 2020.
